What is sixty days Registrar lock ?

For a mandatory ICANN policy, it's forbidden to transfer a domain to another Registrar in the sixty-days-period following:

  • the registration of a new domain
  • the transfer of a doman to another Registrar
  • the change or updating of Registrant name, company or email

This rule apply only to gTLD (.com, .net, .org, .info, .tv etc.) and newTLD.
Does not apply to ccTLD (which, however, may have different kind of lock)
